New York – When not to go to New York. We left the daffodils and spring flowers to visit New York the last week of February.

The New York Times hosts a large travel show for the public and also for travel professionals. Wanting to further our knowledge on ladies travel we thought we should combine a few days in New York with the show. New York is a great place to see. There is always great shopping – Filenes is one place we always check out. Filenes is the original bargan basement store, originating in Boston. Just tips if you are going to Filenes – prior to your visit go to www.filenesbasement.com and become a fan. You then can receive coupons via email. Macy had a one day sale, and of course there is Bloomingdales. Sounds like all we did was shop – well there was a snow storm so riding around on the hop on/off bus was not an option. Sightseeing is really difficult in a blizzard.
